Digital marketing and design agency in Hampshire: Made in Hampshire. Hired far beyond it.
Beyond is a digital marketing and design agency in Southampton, Hampshire. The seven people you meet design your brand, build your website and run your SEO and social media, for Hampshire names such as Incognito and Marwell Zoo, and for The Fat Duck.
Incognito Bars
Cocktail bars that started in Winchester, where every drink is a show, from bubbling bathtubs to diving helmets full of fog.

Incognito's flagship is in Winchester, with a handful of bars now open alongside it. We've drawn its world since launch, a Victoriana gone wild, hosted by Chadwick Smithfield, across the menus guests pick up at the bar, the beer packaging and the website.
The website plays video, animation and fine-art illustration without slowing down, and shows guests' own posts live, so the bar's theatre carries on online. When Incognito launched its own spirits, it came back to the same studio for the bottles.
“They took something so hard to convey, and made it look effortless.”
Marwell Zoo
Two winter seasons, Winter Wonderland and Glow, drawn and animated once, then made ready for everywhere the zoo needed them.

Marwell Zoo's winter seasons have to sell a family day out from a poster, a web page or a phone, often all in the same week. The zoo's own team runs its marketing, so they needed artwork they could use straight away.
We drew and animated the campaign artwork for Winter Wonderland and Glow in our studio, then supplied it in every major format, from print to an Instagram story. The zoo's team ran the campaigns themselves, with one look across all of it.
Incognito Spirit Company
Incognito's bars are a speakeasy with a twist of Victoriana and Alice in Wonderland. The spirits had to be just as out there.

We've made Incognito's brand since its bars opened: the illustration, the menus, the website and the emails. So when Incognito launched a range of spirits, distilled locally, it came back to us for the boxes and labels.
There are six: Spiced Rum, Golden Rum, Vodka, Vanilla Vodka, Dry Gin and Pink Gin. Each got a persona and an illustrated world of its own, led by a roaring new take on the bars' feline host, Chadwick Smithfield. We artworked and test-printed every box and label so each one printed, fitted and finished properly, then gave every spirit a micro animation for the screen.

Why Hampshire businesses work with us
The people in your first meeting are the people who do the work, and they're close enough to come and see it.
- 01
Round your table, not only on a call
Hampshire is a short drive from our studio, so a workshop can happen where your customers are: in your bar, your shop or your office. You see the people doing the work, and they see what your customers see.
Studio: Frobisher House, Nelson Gate, Southampton.
- 02
The shoot is a drive away
Our photographer and film director work in the studio, not on a freelance list. For a Hampshire business, a shoot is a morning on site, and going back when the season or the menu changes is easy.
Photography, film and animation, all made in-house.
- 03
Nobody explains the brand twice
Incognito came to us when its bars opened in Winchester, then came back for its spirits. We already knew the brand inside out, so the range started from what worked, not from a fresh brief.
Incognito: the bars' brand since launch, then the six-spirit range.
Five things a Hampshire business should get right online
Most local customers decide from a phone, often before they reach your website. These are the things that win them.
- 01
Fill in your Google Business Profile
Most local searches are answered before anyone reaches your website: opening hours, photos, reviews, the map. Check the categories, keep the hours right through bank holidays and add new photos each season.
- 02
Say where you are and where you'll go
Name your town and the places you serve, in words, on your website. Give each service its own page. Skip copies of one page with the town name swapped: search engines treat them as thin, and customers notice.
- 03
Show the real place
A stock photo of a smiling team could be anywhere. Your own rooms, products and people tell a local customer they've found the right place, and they're what people share.
Incognito BarsIncognito's website shows its own illustration, film and guests' posts, live.

- 04
Plan the seasons before they arrive
Christmas, summer holidays and half terms come round every year. Make the campaign artwork once, in every size you'll need, a few weeks ahead, and your team can run it without a scramble.
Marwell ZooWinter Wonderland and Glow artwork, supplied in every format for the zoo's own team to run.

- 05
Ask for reviews, and answer them
Reviews help you rank in the map results, and your replies are read by the next customer. Ask while the visit is fresh, and answer the bad ones calmly, in your own words.

Hiring an agency in Hampshire, answered
Which digital marketing agencies are based in Hampshire?
Beyond is one: a digital marketing and design agency at Frobisher House in Southampton. Seven people design brands, build websites and run SEO, social media and Google Ads, for Hampshire clients such as Incognito in Winchester and Marwell Zoo, and for The Fat Duck.
Do you work with businesses in Winchester, Portsmouth and Basingstoke?
Yes. Our studio is in Southampton, and everywhere in Hampshire is within about an hour by car. Incognito's flagship bar is in Winchester and Marwell Zoo is just outside it. We meet in person when it helps, for workshops and shoots, and on video calls the rest of the time.
Do we need to be in Hampshire to work with you?
No. Most of our clients aren't: they include Moor Hall in Lancashire, The Kirkmichael Arms in Ayrshire, Chêne Bleu in Provence and two wineries in California. Being close just makes shoots and workshops easier to arrange.
How do I choose a digital marketing agency in Hampshire?
Ask who will do the work, and meet them. Look at live websites and campaigns they've made, not only their own site. Check whether they make the photos, films and pages your marketing needs, or pay someone else to. Then ask what happens after launch: who fixes things, and how quickly.
How do I get my business found on Google in Hampshire?
Start with your Google Business Profile: the right categories, hours and real photos. Then make sure your website says plainly where you are and which towns you serve, with a page for each service. Reviews help too. Our SEO work covers all of it, and our own developers fix the site.
Are you a web design agency or a branding agency?
Both, and a digital marketing agency too. The same studio does branding, website design and digital marketing, so your brand, your site and your ads are made by people who sit together.
Do you only work with restaurants and drinks brands?
No. Restaurants and drinks brands are most of our work, but our Hampshire clients include Marwell Zoo, and we've made a film, a website and marketing for BeU Swindon, a youth mental health service. If your business has something worth showing, we can help.
How much does a digital marketing agency in Hampshire cost?
Every project is priced individually, usually within a week of a free call, in a written proposal that sets out the work, who does it, the dates and the cost. Ongoing work such as SEO or social media is a monthly fee, month to month.
